Pulses play an important role in the diet of Indians. It is realized that pulses are the most important sources of proteins for the predominantly vegetarian population. However, prices of almost all pulses except chana and dry peas have registered a massive increase in the past few years. While the supplies of pulses have been fairly good, still the prices have gone up un-bridled!
